Merging Libraries And Exchanging Labels with CiteSmart
CiteSmart offers the posibility to carry two types of merging operations:
- Brut Merge Libraries:
This simply merges all the content and information between two or more libraries.
Users, Labels and References are simply all merged together.
- Exchange Labels between Users in the Currently Opened Library:
Because labels are user specific, this function allows to transfer labels from one user to another.
This operation is carried on (and only on) the currently opened library.

Note:
For both cases, a target library file is needed. This offers some safety in case
of an operation leading to a corrupt file.
The target file cannot be a file opened in CiteSmart or a file used in the merging operation.
Note:
The merging operation is possible via the menu Library>Merge...
The merge Dialog box opens.

The use of the merge dialog is very straightforward. After the merging operation
a Dialog box will open to indicate the success or failure of the process.
If successful, the user has the option to open the new file receiving the merged information (the target file).
